This knife - a gift from Nikolai Kuzmin -
a Russian sailor I hosted
When I worked for the Everett Parks Department.
His ship, a Soviet trawler - Kargat -,
was, if I am remembering correctly,
the first soviet ship
to port in the US since the cold war had began.
The Next evening My Mom and I took Nikolai
to the Seattle Center to see
‘Laser Floyd.’ It blew him away,
but not as much as seeing the Large lighted Cross
One sees as the travel North on I-5 as they leave Seattle.
