Note 1: This piece was created for the Black/White exhibit at 3321 Creatives, in Everett. Sadley they are no longer. The theme was each piece was either Black or white but could be made up of shades of each.
Note 2: People have commented that is reminds them of Han Solo in deep freeze. When I created this piece, I didn't even think of that. This piece was inspired by bodies being discovered and recover after genocide regimes collapsed.
Note 3: This piece is no longer back. over the years I have added color, and it continues to evolve.

Emerging - screams first.
they sprint and stumble from the shadows
that are attempting to contain their desire
to escape pure darkness
and the atrocities that happen there -
unaware that kind-heart people,
who lack a spine,
watch their plight on the internet
while eating pizza and texting friends
“that someone should do something...,”
but before they finish their thought
they get distracted by the latest
“Epic rap battles of history” video.
